Sifu Armando Sainz
Armando is one of my close friends. I met Armando in 1997 shortly after he began training with our Sifu, Bill Graves. I immediately liked him but couldn't figure out what it was about him that was so compelling. Then I found out. While moving equipment out of our instructor's school after he closed it, Armando invited me to church with him. I accepted the invitation
and loved the church he brought me to. I was at a time in my life, just out of high school, when I was searching for truth and everything I saw at that church sang with truth. I knew it in my soul. The next day, I went over to Armando's house to spar with him in his garage. After a great workout he explained to me how he came to know the Lord Jesus. Then he shared
some good news with me and led me to a saving knowledge of the Lord, right there
in his garage. My life was radically changed from that moment until this day. And because of the direction I was going, I owe him my life. Today Armando and I remain good friends and both maintain our training under our Sifu. He is a great practitioner of our art, a real natural.
Armando began his training in martial arts in 1979 (I was one year old!) in the Tang Soo Do system before coming to Wing Chun. He has extensive martial arts experience in addition to this and he is the first student to have learned the entire Wing Chun curriculum from Bill Graves and no one else. He trains regularly with Sifu and operates Centerline Academy of Martial Arts, a beautiful school and probably the world's premier Wing Chun facility. Centerline Academy has a reputation of excellence and Sifu Armando has produced many great students. More information on Armando and Centerline Academy can be found online at centerlineacademy.com
